Get involved: You can make a difference
Your donations can go a long way, both for specific projects as well as for flexible use in urgent missions. Take a look at our PROJECTS and support a cause that matters to you.
Besides giving, there are many ways to support the people of Ukraine. Here are some ideas:
Organise a local fundraising event
From primary school pupils and university students to next door's neighbour, anybody can raise funds. Call on your teachers, neighbours, friends, and colleagues to join in a charity run or fleamarket, participate in a bake-off or concert gig and donate the raised contributions to support the people of Ukraine.
Support Ukrainians outside of Ukraine
Ukrainians having left their home country face uncertainty. Many have suffered loss. Many suffer from trauma. It is crucial to find welcoming and supportive structures when arriving abroad. Help in finding accommodation, supplies, and leisure activities or simply bringing people together is often appreciated. If you have the chance to create safe meeting spaces, especially for women and children, advertise them and provide them free of charge.
Promote initiatives run by Ukrainians and other supporters
Many Ukrainians living abroad are committed to supporting fellow Ukrainians in- and outside of Ukraine. If you know of a local initiative, show your support by donating or attending their public events.
Raise awareness and show solidarity
Everybody can do this. By not letting the war slip from conversations, by staying informed, we keep raising awareness among friends and family. If we show up to public events such as protests to demand action from our political representatives, we can demonstrate our respect to the Ukrainian people and participate meaningfully in our society.
