Partners and Supporters
Thanks to our partners, friends and supporters, we can do what we do best and reach the most vulnerable with much needed support. Organizations, foundations, individuals and associations. It wouldn't be possible without you. From Human to Human we say Thank You for your trust and belief in our work.
Let us continue to go HAND-in-HAND - Together.

How World HAND International Supports The People Of Ukraine
WHI evacuates people from front line areas. Many of those are hard to reach. Through constant coordination with other organisations on the ground, volunteers and local authorities, blind spots are countered. Especially women and children, the elderly and people with disabilities call on us to be taken to safe places though our mass and individual evacuations.
We do not want people to feel forgotten. With our Ukrainian partners, we focus on providing food, water, and hygiene products to areas underserved. These often remote areas suffer from a destroyed infrastructure. People lack access to food, water, medicine, petrol and other services. Many are entirely dependant on Humanitarian Aid.
Key in our work is to coordinate with other actors involved in humanitarian work, organisations, local authorities and volunteers.
We believe in cooperation to most effectively and efficiently reach those in dire need. Everyone supported in any of our projects receive information on more support structures. We refer to the right contact points and help with the organisation of further aid and next steps, if needed.
Winter is coming. Winter is going to be cold. Can you imagine what it means to be really cold?
In our winterisation efforts we concentrate on warmth. We distribute ovens with exhaust pipes for bunkers, brickets and firewood, we equip warming centers for people to seek shelter from the cold and shelling and deliver functional outdoor gear.
WHI provides psychosocial support to children and adults, in individual and group therapy sessions. Our expert psychologists support in coping with trauma in short to long term therapy in our MHPSS projects, as well as punctual support during our distributions where possible. In Ukraine we look at transgenerational trauma, affecting whole families, and generations to come. The later support in this field is provided, the heavier the outcomes.
